With the closing of the medieval period, the Age of Faith comes to a close. New focuses will occupy the minds of Western Europe. This new movement actually had its beginning in the arts and literature in Italy. Culture had now achieved, after 1,000 years, parity with that of the ancient world. Why did this rebirth happen and why did it happen in Italy? We will answer these questions and more next week.
