Updated - Mesopotamia - the land between the rivers...Tigris and Euphrates, that is.
We will explore the revolving door of great civilizations that come into being, conquer, and were in-turned conquered themselves in the Fertile Crescent. From the beginning of civilization in the region known as Sumer, that even pre-dated the First Dynasty of Ancient Egypt, to the Persian Empire. We will study the great leaders, every day life, great cities and empires, and their impact on the region.
