Updated - First, the English dealt with their absolute monarch and changed the nature of the monarchy. Next, the thirteen colonies, using the ideas of the Enlightenment, reacted to the monarchy and Parliament of England. France, with all her economic problems was not far behind in coming to grips with her absolute manarch.
