Updated - "While from a proud tower in the town, death looks gigantically down" This quote from Edgar Alan Poe apply sums up the next four and a half years of European history. This will be the most destructive and deadliest conflict in the history of the world up to this time, and yet American students know so little about this tragic conflict. Each country fought for its own agenda and goals, but what were they? With a movie and our unit on the war, I hope you will come to understand and appreciate the sacrifices and senseless loss of life this war produced.
